We offer Electron Beam Welding on a contract basis. This is a high energy density
process which can make welds with very low distortion. The welding is done in a vacuum, so
external contamination is not introduced. Welds can be made in metals that are not
weldable by other methods.

Key Benefits
- Clean - all welds done under high vacuum
- Deep, narrow welds possible - depth = 10-40 times width
- Very low distortion
- Can eliminate secondary operations
- No filler metal or bevels required
- High welding speeds - 30/100 ipm
- Normally inaccessible joints can be welded
Metals Welded
- Carbon and Stainless Steels
- Aluminum Alloys
- Nickel-Based Alloys
- Titanium and Zirconium
- Refractory Metals:
- Rhenium, Tantalum, Vanadium,
- Niobium, Molybdenum, Tungsten
- Dissimilar Metals
Fischer Capabilities
- 7.5 kW power
- Rectangular part size: 22" long x 16" deep x 12" high
- Cylindrical part size: 22" with axis horizontal, 12" with axis vertical
- Eccentric table for: multiple circular welds; circular welds on large parts
